xx’s Rumi shared a new song called “Strong” featuring Fred once again…she produced the song with Fred Again..and Stuart Price. It also comes with a music video directed by Romi’s wife, director and photographer Vic Lentin. Check it out below.
“Strong” is Romi’s second ever single release, following her 2020 debut single “Lifetime”. The song is about learning to process past grief. “While writing the lyrics, I was thinking of my cousin Louis. We both had a shared experience of our mothers passing when we were young,” Rommie said in a statement. The song was a way to connect with these feelings, offer support, and ultimately find a sense of release in the trance of music. Lewis is with me on the single cover and in the music video too, which was really special.”
Back in 2020, Romy revealed during an Instagram Live session that she was working on her debut solo album. The title and release date have not been announced. xx’s latest album is I see youwhich they launched in 2017.
