What’s a ‘Scribble Victory’?

Scribble Victory are a dynamic acoustic-pop duo from Derby, U.K. Formed in November scribble victory.jpg12013, they were featured in the top 120 ‘long-list’ for Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent competition 2015 and were listed as one of the top 50 acts to look out for in 2015 by Louder Than War magazine. The duo consists of Jamie Thompson (acoustic guitar and vocals) and Tomas Ward (drums and vocals).

Initially, this started out as a University project for Jamie, in which he was tasked with writing and recording a solo album. With the encouragement of his friends, he decided to rally up a group of people to play the songs live. Eventually, in October of 2013 (after a break to focus on other musical endeavours), Jamie came back to Scribble Victory and asked Tom to work on a stripped-back acoustic set consisting of new songs and a new attitude to the music they wrote.scribble victory
