She also tells the story of getting a call from fellow Best New Artist nominee Noah Kahan after hearing the news of her nomination: “Noah Kahan was the first person to call me, and we kind of just had a screaming match on the phone,” she remembers. “He’s the greatest guy. I wish everyone knew him personally.”
